Every year, countless guinea pigs in Ottawa find themselves in need of rescue and care. At Guinea Pig Rescue Ottawa (GPRO), we are dedicated to providing these adorable critters with a safe haven and a second chance at a happy, healthy life. But we can't do it alone. We need your support!
Here's how you can make a difference:
1. Volunteer
GPRO is always looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to help us run our services and keep our guinea pigs happy, healthy, and well cared for. Whether you’re interested in a one-time volunteer opportunity, helping occasionally, or becoming a long-term dedicated volunteer, we truly appreciate and welcome every helping hand.
Volunteering with GPRO is a rewarding way to support animal welfare, learn more about guinea pig care, and be part of a caring rescue community. No prior guinea pig experience is required, training and guidance are provided. What matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine love for animals.
Volunteer Requirements
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
(exceptions may be made for high school students completing volunteer hours)
- Volunteers must attend an orientation and training session before beginning any volunteer duties

2. Spread the Word
